1: The additional contribution is equal to 3.9% of income in excess of $77 005 calculated as a daily amount, plus $0.70.

The additional contribution is adjusted according to the number of children in subsidized childcare:

  • 50% of the daily additional contribution for the second child;
  • no daily additional contribution for the third child and subsequent children.

If your net family income in 2017 is under or equal to $51 340, you need not set aside an amount, since you have no additional contribution to pay.
