$2 billion in additional resources:
- $1.334 billion for the operating budgets of the network in 2001-2002, including:
- $10 million to consolidate basic services for children and youth;
- $32 million to permanently support home care services provided by businesses in the social economy.
- $600 million placed in reserve to bolster modernization of the network and begin to implement the recommendations of the Clair Commission.
- $30 million to improve the living conditions of older persons losing their autonomy.
